sometimes it is risky to make statements, (This is understood as the premise.) especially in an environment where the truth is often shunned until it forces itself to be realized.
therefore has become a useful tool or overcoming one's fear to present false ideas as facts ( with the use of the signal marker, "therefore", this must be the conclusion.) by reducing the chance of being proven wrong.
To state them in logic:
Sometimes it is risky to make statements, therefore anonymity has become a useful tool or overcoming one's fear to present false ideas as facts.
Logical? or all unsupported claims?
"...unfortunately it also is a tool to refute the truth based on claimed but otherwise unobservable 'facts'. anonymity is the most effective expression of fear."
misconnected idea, and unsupported claim in itself..
as a catharsis, this also allows people to ventilate without needing to worry that anyone will know they are mad (?) , and thus NOT promoting a solution to that which makes them need to vent in the first place.
How is this known while every writing is dependent on the response of a sensible or insensible reader?
people in the forum are anonymous only to the degree they choose to be. or to the degree irresponsible and malicious posters allow them to be by posting others' true names without need or permission. thus robbing them of the anonymity them themselve cherish so dearly.
Also a claim in itself.
People in the forum are, in some way or another, anonymous because of the inherent characteristics of the medium
This is a fact. We are using the cyber medium and being so rationalizes anonymity.
as a clincher, postings by anonymous writers are judged without the benefit of being associated with an individual's credibility. this is only beneficial to the author if their credibility is lacking
(a hypothetical assumption),
which of course they will claim is not the case, but we will never know
(a matter of opinion may say that something is certainly absolute)
(unless we take their word for it). (and a matter of opinion may also claim something without the
accompanying circumstance or condition of that matter)..
