As far as I know, NO. We have a constitutional provision for non-imprisonment for debts. We can never be arrested and/or imprisoned. All those company can do is to threaten you with legal suits but they don't actually pursue it since your debt is way lesser than the cost of the suit. The liability you have is only civil.

I got this nice little letter ordering me to pay my overdue bills or they'd have some attorney go against me to protect the company's interest. I don't have much use for a landline now so I just let my bills go unpaid thinking they'd just cut it later for non-payment. However it's been 4 months and still they haven't done so and kept sending me bills. :-\

If the amount is worth pursuing though, they can file a legal suit to enforce their right and collect your liability. If you have no cash payments, they can attach some of your properties as payment.
