both cheat, reasons differ... but our law is biased on the who's who of marital infidelity. a man is only charged with infidelity if he is caught in the act of sex with another woman but a woman can be charged with infidelity based on suspicion alone. Gordon is spearheading its amendment i think.

to answer the question why... blame society. any pinoy would tell of instances when growing up we have been programmed to think that a man who controls many women is macho and a woman who has a lot of men in her life (not necessarily lovers) is a slut. also a virgin pinoy is unacceptable whereas virginity for women is a requirement for a successful marriage.

again i reiterate... don't blame the filipino men... blame society. change it if you must and you will be surprised how many men would support it.
