I just watched a documentary on the threats the universe has on Earth. I was really shaken on how vulnerable and precarious the Earth is, If I find time, I think I'll be writing a whole article about it, that'll be interesting. For the meantime...

How do you think the world will end?

There was a black hole spotted in the center of our milky way galaxy... The gravitational pull of this black hole is bazillion times more than the sun. If eventually something comes near it, or if it wonders near something like the earth for example, it will shred it into pieces and nothing, not even the latest technology can prevent this disaster.

Whew! We are indeed at nature's mercy.

The end of the world could be brought about by man's own carelessness and wanton consumption of the earth's resources.... just my idea....
with echoes of deliverance....

Maybe the Earth will be destroyed by prehistoric beasts, created by a guy who found a mosquito in some ancient tree sap and bred on a small island for mans amusement! (maybe)
I'm so amazingly clever that I often have to give up trying to understand what I'm saying.

reminds of the PC Game I played when i was younger. Fallout II. The world does not end per se, i just think the humanity will be wiped out.

But if you ask me, i think the world ends tragically. Nukes will do the tricks. Stupid "leaders" pull the strings. Kindof like what the bible says in revelation. But i still hold on to the fact that God is a God of Order. Oh well.

I played Fallout too! Fallout I and II (Brotherhood of Steel), and yeah that would most probably happen, nuclear warfare resulting to mutated humankind (not the X-men type), if our world leaders won't do everything to stop nuclear weapons proliferation as what the fanatic communists and religious zealots are trying to do right now.

If you're relying on the God in the Bible to be a God of order, then you must remember that according to the Bible, God created evil or God created disaster in another translation, anyway either translation is bad. Now I don't want to be another doomsayer here. I'd rather be apathetic when it comes to stuff such as these. Let's just all enjoy life to the fullest while it lasts.

haha. i get your point. but i don't believe that there is devil "devil". i mean there is no entity that forces one to do evil for the sake of being evil. so lucifer is responsible for what he is now because he had the will so, in some ways. thus the absurdity of one's will coexisting with destiny/fate/devine intervention. or could it be that Desire is the so called devil?

oh yeah fallout. world leaders eh? unfortunately its the world leaders that will get us to that mess. you know the greased brahmin part that the woman in redding is explaining? i think the situation is like that. say, for argument's sake, America wants to vanquish Iraq, it will try everything to get its hands on it; arms, ammos and the likes and so it starts its own staged war and it will win. so nobody grabs the greased brahmin but the heder who greased it. odd no?

i haven't played fallout III yet, i'm looking forward to playing fable:lost chapters. do you by chance play MTG?

OT: There's a Fallout III now? That will be great! Haven't tried Fable yet, but I used to play MTG (Magic the Gathering). Got totally addicted to its PC game and got very good at it, i like blue and black. I don't have real cards though, since I don't know anyone here to duel and trade with.

Back to topic:
I heard from some priests of Christianity and Islam and they both believe that the Middle East is the real stage for the coming Armaggedon and the events that are happening there are all preludes to it.

yeah. somewhere in revalation it is said that when russia enters mesopotamia that's when the end begins. going through the pages of TIMES in June or so, Russia is beginning its rise to power...again. that's scary. but i take it that it will not happen in our lifetime.

bout fallout III, Fallout III is actually The Brotherhood of The Steel. but heard from the grapevine that it was not as good as fallout I and II coz it's RTS. I do play MTG, i'm using Red/Green and Green/White.

OT: Sorry friend but i think Fallout II is "The Brotherhood of The Steel" and III is supposed to be "No Mutants Allowed" which was supposed to be developed by Bethesda the makers of the great RPG- "The Elder Scrolls III and IV" but as of last update it never materialized.

Did you know that our planet passes through a danger zone where it is very prone to meteors every 35 years? The last time was just 10 years ago. :buck2:

oh yeah you're right. The Brotherhood is just the spinoff of the original Fallout RPG series.

I heard that they'll use the same style as it is in ES:Oblivion. yayness.

the last part is scary. so same meteor shower which wiped the dinos out will wipe the humanity?

hmmm. take it from R.E.M: it's the end of the world as we know it...and i feel fine.
