i was reading the paper today and there's this lady bartender who got herself a $10,000 tip for a $26.00 tab. but the resto is still verifying if that amount is a valid charge. I also heard someone says that if you use ur credit card, a cut will go to to the cash box.

it depends! if the server is a hottie, she gets more of course! if not, oooppss she's lucky if i have quarters hehehe most of the time, if she ain't looking i'm gone fast as the wind. cheapskate!!

speaking of cheapskates, i wonder why ladies don't tip their fellows especially in a bar. why?

Here in Baguio, or at least the bars we go to, tips are not necessary. Just pay the bill and that's it.

Although I sometimes feel obligated and do tip the taxi driver for having the patience to bring me to my faraway place after dropping off all my friends. ;D

if receipt indicates a service charge, then tip giving is no longer necessary...
To some, its just a consideration or appreciation to the service of the waiter/waitress

TIP means To Insure Promptness. So if you want the person to be prompt the next time you visit, give a TIP. Sometimes I also give a tip for a job well done. The highest amount I gave as a tip so far is 100 pesos... I think that is too much though. Maybe 20 pesos is OK  O0

ako pag may pera....hinde pa kinukuha yung order may TIP na sya! ( kindat)

tapos pag BUMALIK...isang tip na naman ( tongue licking)

pag nag SMILE na sya...kelangan bigay tip ( 100 pang taxi nya papuntang hotel; may kasamang tissue ...nakasulat phone number mo)

pag uwi na bigay isang tip ( whisper....saang hotel at anong oras)

pag PANGIT at SUPLADA ang waiter/waitress...

sabihin mo hinde sya mag serve sa iyo...ganun lang iyon!

sabi ko lang NOON iyon kasi ako ang may interest sa change ( biruin nyo aabot siguro yun sa 100 pesos)....pang TAXI ko sana eh! ;D

and it really depends on the service, sometimes the service is so lousy that you swear to the highest heavens that you'll never go back to that place anymore! 

i usually give tips to good services..i remeber in a mall in baguio, the lady was so nice and patient with my nephew and godson and i gave her  $ bills.and last night, no matter how far our house is he drive us home...yun ang mga binibigyan ng tip.... ;D ;D ;D

tips are given to deserving persons...  he/she surely deserve that tip... its shows...  :angel:

I give tips whether they have good or bad service, but i give more to a very good service, my point is they're all working really hard.

diay pizza hut session, kasali na daw yung tips dun sa babayaran, accdng dun sa friend ng friend ko.

ung tip nman kasi is pra sa good service nila...just to show something na what they are doing is appreciated...
