I've lost 3 cellphones already. The last one got stolen just barely a month ago. It was an old 3310 with maybe 3 lines on the lcd screen which was probably worthless already. I can't believe someone would still hit on that. I tried texting and calling the that number, even offered to buy it back even if just the sim and they can keep the phone. It was infuriatingly frustrating.

Anyone here also has a cellphone loss experience? Let's sympathize with each other hehe...

I never lost a cellphone, but I think certainly you feel bad when you lose a cellphone. Thieves don't think about the value of what they are going to steal. They just figure it out when the coast is clear. That's the bad part about them. Everyone and everything is a prey. It's like throwing a net out to the sea, when they raise the net above water, it's the time when they will see if they caught something valuable.

Just be careful with everything you have, valuable or not. According to the undying poster on the wall, "Don't leave your things unattended".

I actually witnessed one cellphone snatching attempt recently at Gen. Luna in front of Shopper's Lane. The girl caught this big, tall, masculado guy trying to steal her cellphone. She reacted by shouting at the scumbag for all the people to hear. It went something like:

Girl: 'Magnanakaw ka anlakilaki mong tao snatcher ka!'
Snatcher: 'Anong pinagsasabi mo gaga ka?!'
Girl: 'Huling-huli ka na nga mayabang ka pa?!'
Snatcher: 'Hindi mo ba alam kung sino ako ha?!!!'
Girl: 'Hindi, hindi kita kilala! Sino ka ba?! Sino ba 'tong magnanakaw na 'to kilala nyo?'

From there the snatcher shut up and went away. Nobody did anything.

Come to think of it, it's sad nobody took the  initiative like citizen's arrest or just maim the mf. As for me I  remember I was rushing off to work and was very late again maybe the  others too.

That's the bad trait we Filipinos have. We are too laid back and sometimes we care less. I am not saying that we should be superheroes but at least get involved in our sorroundings.

It's like being so disconnected. So many friends i've lost contact with, and i don't have a backup list of all their numbers.

My cellphone broke down for more than 2 days I didn't realize it until just this morning since I don't use it much now, in fact I kinda dread it now since most of the time the message alert usually means problems. However, thinking about those two days out of reach, can't help to worry that I might have missed something important.
