Do you think good looking people are more appreciated and preferred here in our world today to the extent that creates some kind of bias? If you are good looking, do you have more opportunities?

I always see in want ads the line "with pleasing personality" they mean good looking right? not actually personality.

Hmmmnnn...

pleasing personality has something to do with attitude...

if you're good looking then it's a PLUS

pleasing personality + good looking = success ( relative though)

There was an experiment done. Two people actually applied for a real job in a real company. The other man was good looking and yes, just good looking. The other wasn't but has good school records and lots of relevant experiences. The good looking guy barely meets the qualifications. The other was very qualified.

When they applied, the good looking man was dressed casually and he took out his folded resume from his pocket. The other was dressed formally and has a very impressive resume. Guess who got the job? Of course the good looking one. hehehe

syempre pag PR or SALES...mas OK pag good-looking

kung pang office lang or computer programming perhaps...OK na yung matalino!

You are correct. Ideally. But I think in reality even if you are a programmer, employers still consider looks. Although it's not a qualification, human nature subconsciously suggests it is.

I think what they are trying to say is that you're looking at the wrong places. Go look in the right one. If still it didn't work, then probably you need to have your eyes be checked. Try OSAKA, hehehe.
