Home-made siomai of my friend, Sarah:

ingredients:
1k giniling
1 large egg
minced carrot, onion, and garlic
1 small pack ginisa flavor mix
salt and pepper accdg to taste
a bit of flour <para lumapot>
molo wrapper

just mix all those stuff, then lagay sa molo wrapper, fold the wrapper siomai-style, steam for 15 mins <approx> without opening the lid <you can also use the rice cooker for steaming>.

ayun. 70-80 pieces ang magagawa.
absolute siomai-heaven for ya!

i cook this during the festive day makes the whole family of my boss likes me and the dish i prepare...i even tutored them but the most tastsy is the one i cook....i like kimchies from korea hehe.........

Ohjing-oe bulgogi (Grilled spicy squid) Recipe
 
Ingredients: 2 medium squids or 3-4 squid stakes, cut into strips
  4 tbsp goochoojang (Korean chili paste)
  2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 
  1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp sesame seeds
  2-3 hot chilies
  1/2 onion, cut into bite size
  3-4 shitki mushrooms, rehydrated, squeezed, cut in half
Prepare squids.
Marinade in goo choo jang (Korean chili paste), sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil
and sesame seeds for 30 minutes.
At the last minute, add mushrooms, chilies and onion.

In a frying-pan, add a bit of oil, grill the squids.
Try to grill on a relatively high heat so the squid does not release the moisture.

Serve with rice.
 
Saewoo jeon (Pan fried shrimp) Recipe
 
Ingredients: 1/2 Lb shrimp (saewoo)
  1/4 cup flour
  1 egg, beaten
  salt, pepper
  vegetable oil
 
Peel shrimp, wash, drain.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Dredge in a flour, put in a beaten egg.

On a medium heat, add 2-3 tbsp oil to a pan.
Place the shrimp on a pan, cook until the edge of the bottom gets pink, flip.
Cook for another minute.

Serve with soy sauce.
 

Nakji bokeum (Spicy octopus) Recipe
 
Ingredients: 1 octopus or 1 Lb
  1/2 onion, slice 1/3 inch thick
  2 chilies, slice in a bias
  2 green onions, cut in a bias
  1 oz carrot or 1/4 carrot, slice thinly
  4 pyogo (shittake mushroom), quartered
  sauce : 1/4 cup gochoojang (Korean chilli paste)
  2 tablespoons gochoogaroo (Korean chili powder)
  1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar
  2 tablespoons sesame oil, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  2 tablespoons minced garlic
 
Wash octopus, cut the legs into 3 inches long, open head and take out inside, quarter the head.
Drain well.

Mix all ingredients for sauce
Put everything in, mix with a hand.
Let marinade for 10 minutes.

Heat the pan on a medium high heat, cook octopus for 3-4 minutes or until done.
If the heat is too high it will burn, if too low it will get soggy.

nalaka lang met jay brownies manang..
This for chocolate brownies and non chocolate

Ing.

Flour,salt,leavening agent like baking powder,sugar,cocoa,melted chocolate for toppings

How to do it:

1. mix all ing. in a bowl
2.grease the pan with butter
3.pour the mixed ing. in the pan
4.put the pan into the pre-heated oven(250 deg. F)
5.when baked,remove from the fire,put the melted chocolate on top,slice it
6.serve....

im still thinking of the wines they mixed during the festive day makes the whole community enjoy..well,to those who love to drink wine....i didn't taste because my buds is tasteless but i can assure you it's nice,,hope so i can send the ing. of the most famous wines in korea.have a nice folks too.

Bosintang - In other words "PULUTSKY"

Ingredients

100g of boiled dog meat
500g of gravy
20g of green onion
10g of a leek
10g of perilla leaves
100g of taro stalk soaked in water.

Sauce

A little amount of pepper.
8g of salt
2g of mashed garlic
3g of perilla
2g of red pepper
2g of mashed ginger

Cooking instruction

After boiling the meat with gravy and stalk of taro for some time boil again after putting
vegetables an d other ingredients into it. Before eating, sprinkle pepper on it and put into
an earthen bowl. The stalk of taro is to be kept in cold water one or two days to get rid of
its smell and taste.

          Made from grain or potatoes. It is clear and has a high alcoholic content. this is made from glutinous rice or regular rice .  they washed it , cleaned and steamed. Then, it is cooled with cold water.  mashed and fermented glutinous rice, is added to the steamed rice, stirred well, and kept about one week. When it is fermented, it is put into a cauldron over a fire. When it is boiled, the distilled alcohol forms on the surface of the vessel filled with cold water.thats what i saw and many koreans were drunk..."just like sayin'show me the way to go home hehehe"
