If you got mozilla firefox and a broadband connection, this howto is really useful
Ok let's start

1) In your location bar, type :
about:config

2) In the filter bar type :
network.http.pipelining

Normally it says " false " , Double click it so it becomes " true "

Go to the filter bar again and type :
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Change it to 8

Go to the filter bar again and type :
network.http.proxy.pipelining
Normally it says " false " , Double click it so it becomes " true "

Go to the filter bar again and type :
network.dns.disableIPv6
Normally it says " false " , Double click it so it becomes " true "

Go to the filter bar again and type :
plugin.expose_full_path
Normally it says " false " , Double click it so it becomes " true "

3) Now we are gonna make a new integer
Right click -> New -> Integer Name : nglayout.initialpaint.delay Value : 0
Right click -> New -> Integer Name : content.notify.backoffcount Value : 5
Right click -> New -> Integer Name : ui.submenuDelay Value : 0

As for me this are the most common settings need to pay attention to. BTW this tweaking works on either platform, Linux, Windows, BSD.

It tweaks firefox and makes the loading of pages faster.

Had been following this and now the manual process because automatic!  It is now a firefox add on just install it and viola... it does the same as the manual process much better though because of added tweaks and the prefetching...

waw... galeng... am using firefox... i also have [the office pala].. netscape which is so freakin bagal if i use proxies just to go to forbidden sites... aheheh... pero bagal tlga... any suggestions for tweaking netscape as well?

i'll try to find how to tweak netscape and i'll be posting here it soon.

been researching about tweaking netscape for weeks all i have searched was to incorporate firefox extenstions to netscape so it would do firefox capabilities but i will try researching for more. i might find  the answer...

waw... tenchu tenx... tamad me magresearch eh... just wondering... using IP really makes netscape really slow but then even without proxy it's still slow...  any proxy IP you have there na mabilis? i don't like using proxy website as they tend to be blocked by our IT...

sorry don't have one right now... anyways if i find one i'll be posting it here.....
